Lake Sumter Taste & Travel

Participation Agreement

Thank you for your interest in participating in Lake Sumter Taste & Travel. We look forward to presenting residents, employees, and visitors with what promises to be a very successful event for each of our businesses.

Restaurants are asked to offer guests a value they can’t get any other time of year. Preferably, guests would choose from a Prix Fixe menu with multiple options for a starter, entree and dessert. Lunch could be a sandwich, side and drink or an entree and a dessert. Feel free to be creative and offer guests an incentive to visit your establishment over the other great options in town.

Guests will have the option to print Lake Sumter Taste & Travel passport cards at home or purchase a passport booklet online for $5 at Passport cards and books are not required for guests to participate in Lake Sumter Taste & Travel. Restaurants are required to have a unique hand stamp that represents the style and flavor of the restaurant so employees can stamp guests passports at the completion of every meal. To assist in our marketing efforts, we ask each restaurant to send us relevant photos of what they will be offering and a description for each photo. Participating restaurants will receive marketing materials such as  flyers,  a listing on, an advertisement in the 2022 Event Guide and the official Lake Sumter Taste & Travel logo for use on websites and social media posts

Restaurants will not be provide marketing materials until participation agreement is submitted and participation fee is paid. Your restaurant agrees to: 

    • To offer a $25 or $35 prix-fixed 3-course dinner menu or lunch/brunch menu for $10 or $15 with up to two items and a drink, August 1 – 31, 2022. Prix-fixed menu must be available to-go, for delivery, or for dine in (if applicable). Menu items are at the participating restaurants’ discretion.

    • To use the provided promotional materials and your existing marketing channels to promote your participation in Lake Sumter Taste & Travel to diners.

    • To stamp diners passports upon receipt of payment for a Lake Sumter Taste & Travel meal.

    • To not require tickets, discount codes, or coupons for customers to participate.

    • To the best of your ability provide prix fixed meals as advertised. GACN understands that certain menu items may change without notice based on product availability.

    • To donate $0.50 – $1 from every meal to GACN to support charities in Lake and Sumter counties.
